Cashmaster Omega “2000” Operating Instructions
The CASHMASTER cash scale is used to count loose coins, bills and rolled coins. Once familiar with the use of the Cashmaster, the average time to count cash will be greatly reduced. As you prepare to use the Cashmaster there are several key points for you to be aware of: Counting Cash When using the Cashmaster to count bills and coins, ensure that you do not mix denominations. For example, before you place a stack of $5.00 bills on the Cashmaster ensure that there are no other denominations mixed in. (Just as when your counting by hand) The Cashmaster has been designed to count and calibrate automatically. In order to use the Cashmaster correctly bills must be placed on the bill hopper in small slices. Initially you will notice that the number of bills placed on the bill hopper will be quite small up to 10 or so bills. This number will gradually increase to allow you to place as many as 20-25 bills at one time. If you place too many bills on the Cashmaster at one time you will be given a message “too many remove some”. You do not have to remove all of the bills; just remove a few bills until the display indicates the count. You can now continue to place bills on the Cashmaster.
Counting Loose Coins
The Omega “2000” comes with a loose coin scoop (optional till cup inserts may also be ordered). After the loose coin scoop has been calibrated, (see Operational Procedures page at the end of this manual) you are ready to count loose coins. Note* There are several different versions of pennies that have been produced over the years with different weights due to the materials used to manufacture them. As a result, you may experience some slight differences when counting pennies; however the benefit gained from the reduced time taken to count far out weighs these slight differences. When the Cashmaster is in the loose coin mode the display will indicate the denomination to place in the loose coin scoop. Place the scoop on the Cashmaster and put that particular denomination in the scoop. When the empty scoop is placed on the Cashmaster the display will indicate “0.00” on the upper right side, this will confirm that the weight of the loose coin scoop has been correctly entered into the Omega “2000”. If the display indicates a value, calibration of the loose coin scoop should be performed as outlined in operational procedures at the end of this manual. To count loose coins simply place them in the loose coin scoop, the display will increment to show the number of coins and the dollar value. When you have finished a particular denomination remove the loose coin scoop from the Cashmaster and empty the loose coins out. The Cashmaster will automatically advance to the next denomination to be counted. You may select any denomination by simply depressing one of the coin denomination keys.
